BY A STAFF REPORTER: Congress leader Akhand Srinivasa Murthy on Sunday resigned as an MLA after he was denied a ticket to contest the Karnataka Assembly elections. The Congress leader was an MLA from Pulikeshinagar assembly constituency. The disgruntled Congress leader went to Sirsi and met Speaker Vishweshwar Hegade Kageri and submitted his resignation. "I was not given a ticket and three lists of Congress parties have been published. I've been through a lot and I'm fed up with it. "The party has not given me a ticket so far. People in my constituency ask me every day. Hindus, Muslims and Christians are all united in my constituency. '
