CM fails to check violence in Manipur

Speaking to ANM News, security advisor Kuldeep Singh confirmed that three persons have died in exchange of fire between two groups.

Manipur witnessed fresh spurt in violence since last night as reports of firing and encounter between miscreants and security forces continue to pour into state headquarters. Speaking to ANM News, security advisor Kuldeep Singh confirmed that three persons have died in exchange of fire between two groups. Local residents indicated that death toll is much higher and many are injured. Security forces have launched a combing operation. Manipur has been under turmoil over the last couple of months and chief minister N Biren Singh government is facing an internal rebellion with many party and cabinet colleagues baying for his resignation.
