Sonamarg, Jammu & Kashmir | In a moving show of solidarity, residents of Sonamarg held a candlelight protest on Tuesday evening to condemn the bomb blast in Delhi, which claimed multiple lives and left several injured.

Participants described the demonstration as a message of peace and unity, expressing deep anguish over the “murder of humanity.” One local participant said, “This candle protest was organised to show that we strongly oppose the bomb blast incident that took place in Delhi yesterday. We have no words to condemn it. It is a murder of humanity.”

The protesters carried candles and placards, standing in silence to honour the victims. “We always say that the murder of an innocent is the murder of humanity. We want to give a message to the citizens of the country that we stand with the families of those who lost their lives in yesterday's incident,” the local added.

Appealing for peace across the nation, the residents urged that such tragedies must never be repeated — “neither in Kashmir nor in any other state.”
