Delhi: BJP MP Anurag Thakur has sharply criticized Congress leaders for their statements following the recent Pahalgam terror attack, accusing the party of supporting Pakistan and questioning India’s actions. Thakur's comments come after Congress leader and former cabinet minister Saifuddin Soz called for listening to Pakistan’s denials about involvement in the attack, as well as urging the continued flow of water to Pakistan.

“Congress aur unke netaaon ki kya majboori hai, ki Pakistan ke bol bolne zaruri hain?” Thakur said, questioning why Congress was giving importance to Pakistan's statements. He further asked, “Why are they supporting Pakistan? Do they not get angry when they see the bloodshed of Indians?”

Thakur expressed his disbelief over Soz's remarks, especially regarding Pakistan's denial of involvement in the attack and the call not to stop the flow of water to Pakistan. He also accused Congress of aligning itself with Pakistan’s interests, saying, “Who is Congress standing with? India or Pakistan?”

The BJP leader further pointed out that Congress had raised questions on India’s surgical strike against Pakistan-backed militants in 2016, and now, within a short time, Congress leaders were again questioning India’s stance and siding with Pakistan. "The face of the pro-Pakistan Congress has been exposed again," Thakur stated.

He also criticized the Congress leadership for not taking any action against those within their party making controversial statements, saying that Congress leaders were making a wide range of statements without facing consequences.
