Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh: The holy city of Ayodhya is witnessing a surge of spiritual fervour today as thousands of devotees and invitees gather for the auspicious Dhwajarohan ceremony at the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir. The event marks another significant moment in the ongoing consecration and ceremonial activities at the newly constructed temple complex.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to ceremonially hoist the saffron flag atop the ‘shikhar’ of the temple, a ritual of deep symbolic meaning in Sanatan tradition. The ceremony has been meticulously timed to coincide with the Abhijit Muhurat, considered extremely auspicious, especially as the day aligns with Vivah Panchami—celebrated as the divine wedding of Lord Ram and Mata Sita.
Authorities have made elaborate arrangements to manage the large influx of devotees, with tightened security, designated viewing areas, and continuous announcements guiding the crowd. Cultural programmes, devotional recitations, and Ramayana chants have added to the devotional ambience across the city.
