Ayodhya: As preparations for the Ayodhya Deepotsav and Saryu Aarti get underway, Guinness World Records official Nischal Barot has shared ambitious plans to set a new world record for the largest number of diyas lit simultaneously. “We need over 25 lakhs of diyas to create a world record this time,” Barot stated. “The last world record was from Ayodhya, which was 22 lakh 23 thousand. We will break that this time.”
In addition to the lighting of diyas, Barot revealed that this year's Deepotsav will also include a large-scale Aarti ceremony, a traditional Hindu ritual of worship. “This time, we are also including Aarti in the world record, where we expect more than 1100 people to perform Aarti,” he added. This dual approach aims to not only break the previous record but also showcase the rich cultural heritage of Ayodhya.
The Deepotsav celebration is expected to draw thousands of participants and tourists to Ayodhya, with organizers hoping to highlight the spiritual significance of the event while promoting unity and community participation. As the preparations progress, the excitement among locals and visitors continues to build, with many eager to witness and be a part of this historic occasion.
