Darrang, Assam: Assam Water Resources Minister Pijush Hazarika addressed the ongoing flood relief efforts in the riverside areas of Assam.

"Due to floods, destruction has taken place in the riverside areas of Assam," Hazarika said. "We are monitoring and helping the victims. We are providing relief materials to the flood-affected people. The water level of the Brahmaputra River is decreasing."

Hazarika also announced future plans for flood prevention. "New embankments will be constructed along 220 km this year," he stated, highlighting the government's commitment to protecting vulnerable areas from future floods.
