Meet a 2012 batch IPS officer of AGMUT cadre, known for his dynamic and no nonsense attitude. Nidhin Valsan, 37, from Kerala is an officer and a gentleman and a man with a difference. ``Cancer is not the end, it's the beginning and one should not feel demoralised or defeated. I wanted to send this message and hence I did the iron man,'' Valsan said, speaking exclusively to ANM News from Goa.

From engineering to policing is a long U-turn, but his riposte, ``I wanted to serve the society and had a penchant for civil service.'' An outspoken officer, Valsan said he drew inspiration and strength from his family, friends and well wishers. ``I want to work for the society,'' he says as he signs off while on a raid in a locality in North Goa.
