New Delhi | While addressing a public rally at Kalkaji Assembly Constituency, Union Home Minister Amit Shah criticized the Delhi government for blocking the rollout of the Ayushman Bharat Yojana in the state. Shah vowed that if the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) forms the government in Delhi, its first cabinet decision would prioritize free healthcare and enhanced welfare schemes for citizens.
"Kejriwal has blocked PM Modi's Ayushman Bharat Yojana," Shah alleged, highlighting the benefits Delhiites are currently missing. "As soon as the Delhi government is formed, in the first cabinet itself, people in Delhi will get free healthcare facilities up to ₹10 lakh."

The Union Home Minister also announced plans to enhance pension schemes for vulnerable groups. “Senior citizens will receive ₹2,500 as pension, and widows' pensions will be increased to ₹3,000,” Shah declared, positioning these welfare measures as a cornerstone of BJP's vision for Delhi.
The Ayushman Bharat Yojana, also known as the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, is a flagship healthcare initiative of the central government that provides financial protection for medical expenses. Shah’s assurance to implement this program in Delhi is seen as a major move to address healthcare challenges in the city.
