New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday congratulated Indian Air Force officer and astronaut Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla on his participation in Axiom Mission 4, a landmark international space mission to the International Space Station (ISS). Shah hailed the moment as one of immense pride for “Bharat” and extended his best wishes to the crew.

In a post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Shah wrote:

“A proud moment for Bharat, as Indian Astronaut, Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla embarks on the journey to the International Space Station as one of the members of the Axiom Mission 4 crew. The hopes, dreams, and blessings of the nation are with you. Best wishes to you and your fellow astronauts for the mission.”

Group Captain Shukla's selection as part of the Axiom Mission 4 marks a significant chapter in India's growing role in global space exploration efforts. The mission, organized by Axiom Space in collaboration with NASA and other international partners, focuses on expanding commercial and research activities aboard the ISS.
