Rudrapur, Uttarakhand: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday lauded Uttarakhand’s economic progress under the BJP’s “double-engine government,” stating that the state is rapidly emerging as a key destination for investment and development.

Speaking at the Uttarakhand Investment Festival – 2025, Shah said that more than ₹1 lakh crore worth of investments have already been grounded in the state over the past two years, a testament to the state’s improving infrastructure, governance, and business climate.

“Under the leadership of Modi Ji, BJP governments are transforming states into hubs of good governance and development, making them preferred destinations for investment, industry, and employment,” Shah posted on social media platform X (formerly Twitter).

He also interacted with investors and young entrepreneurs at the festival, encouraging greater participation in sectors such as tourism, healthcare, infrastructure, and food processing, all identified as high-potential growth areas for Uttarakhand.

Shah attributed this growth to the synergy between the central and state governments, referring to the joint governance model as a “double-engine government” with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami working in tandem.
