New Delhi – Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday offered detailed remarks in Parliament regarding the recent ceasefire between India and Pakistan, emphasizing that India maintained a strategic and restrained approach during the conflict. He stated that Indian forces targeted only military assets, while Pakistan had no choice but to seek a ceasefire.
“Six of Pakistan's radar systems were destroyed,” Shah said, highlighting the precision and effectiveness of India’s military operations. “They attacked our residential areas, but we did not do the same. We only attacked their air bases and ruined their attacking capabilities.”
According to Shah, Indian armed forces remained fully intact during the engagement, while Pakistan’s offensive infrastructure suffered major setbacks. “Our armed forces were intact. And their attacking capacities were destroyed. Pakistan had no option but to surrender,” he told the House.
