By A Staff Reporter — Ghatkopar, Maharashtra: Union Home Minister Amit Shah expressed strong confidence in the Mahayuti alliance’s victory in the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly elections, predicting the downfall of the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) coalition. Speaking at a public gathering in Ghatkopar East, Shah shared his observations after touring various regions in the state.
"I have come to Ghatkopar today, having visited West Maharashtra, North Maharashtra, Konkan, and Mumbai," Shah said. "Based on the enthusiasm I’ve witnessed, I am confident that the Mahayuti government will be formed here, and the MVA will cease to exist."
Shah’s comments come as both alliances intensify their campaigns across Maharashtra, with Mahayuti, comprising BJP and Shiv Sena factions, hoping to secure a decisive win. The MVA coalition, consisting of Congress, the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), and the Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray faction), has been a major contender.
As the election approaches, both Mahayuti and MVA are focusing on garnering public support through mass rallies and pledges to address regional issues. Shah’s remarks in Ghatkopar signal the BJP’s optimism about returning to power and reshaping Maharashtra’s political landscape.
