Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav has raised strong concerns over the internal conflicts within the BJP-led government, pointing out the contradictions between the central and Uttar Pradesh state governments. Speaking in Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh, Yadav highlighted how the so-called "double-engine" governments are failing to deliver on their promises, stating that the policies of the central government and the state government are at odds, with both their slogans and actions contradicting each other.
Yadav criticized the BJP for shifting the focus from key issues that impact the public, like the unavailability of fertilizers, the unfulfilled promise of doubling farmers' income, and the soaring inflation that has burdened the common man. He argued that the government's failure to address these basic issues has led to growing discontent among the people.
Furthermore, Akhilesh Yadav accused the BJP of manipulating the election process by changing the polling dates when they sensed a negative shift in public sentiment. According to him, the shift in dates was a desperate attempt by the BJP to influence the outcome in their favor, undermining the democratic process.
Yadav’s remarks reflect the increasing political tension in the state as the SP continues to criticize the BJP for its governance and election tactics, while asserting that the people of Uttar Pradesh are ready to vote for a change.
