New Delhi: In a significant move for India's broadband sector, Airtel has announced a partnership with SpaceX to introduce Starlink’s high-speed satellite internet services to Indian customers. This marks the first such agreement in India, though it remains subject to SpaceX securing the necessary regulatory approvals to operate Starlink in the country.
Starlink, SpaceX’s satellite-based broadband service, aims to provide high-speed internet access even in remote and underserved areas, aligning with India’s push for digital inclusion. The partnership will leverage Airtel’s existing telecom infrastructure to facilitate the rollout once approvals are granted.
