In Tamil Nadu, Air Marshal Nagesh Kapoor addressed the public ahead of the grand Air Force Day celebrations over Marina Beach, where 72 aircraft are set to perform. While encouraging people to attend the event in large numbers, he issued a specific safety advisory, requesting attendees to avoid bringing food to the venue.

"Basic instruction to the public is to come in large numbers, at the same time...we request all to not eat anything...there was a huge flock of birds today when the march past was going on, so that is dangerous for pilots and people sitting below," Kapoor said, emphasizing the importance of safety for both the pilots and the spectators.

The Air Marshal also underscored the significance of the event, noting that this large-scale display of Air Force capability is the first of its kind in the southern part of the country. "The idea is to take the celebration of Air Force Day to various parts of the country...we never had such a display of this scale in the southern part of the country," he added.

The Air Force Day celebrations, marked by the aerial display of advanced aircraft, aim to showcase India's growing air defense capabilities while engaging citizens across different regions.
