Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit took charge as Deputy Chief of Air Force on Monday.He was a student of National Defense Academy.He was appointed to the army on December 6, 1986.

By A Staff Repoter :  Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit took charge as Deputy Chief of Air Force on Monday.He was a student of National Defense Academy.He was appointed to the army on December 6, 1986.Graduated from National Defense College of Bangladesh and New Delhi.Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit is a qualified flying instructor as well as a test pilot.He participated in Operation Safe Sea and Raksha.He has more than 3300 hours of flying experience in fighter, trainer and transport aircraft.Air Marshal Dixit commanded a Mirage 2000 squadron, a frontline fighter base in the western sector as well as a premier fighter training base.He previously served as Principal Director of Air Staff Requirements, Assistant Chief of the Air Staff (Projects) and Assistant Chief of the Air Staff (Plans) at Air Headquarters.The air officer was also the Air Defense Commander of the Southern Air Command and was the Senior Air Staff Officer at the South Western Air Command before taking over as Deputy Chief of the Air Staff.
