“Manipur crisis is far from over”

Minister of State for External Affairs and Education Dr. R.K. Ranjan Singh and Hon'ble Member of Parliament Dr. Lorho S. Pfoze have made a joint appeal for peace and reconciliation following the violence in Manipur.

BY A STAFF REPORTER: Minister of State for External Affairs and Education Dr. R.K. Ranjan Singh and Hon'ble Member of Parliament Dr. Lorho S. Pfoze have made a joint appeal for peace and reconciliation following the violence in Manipur.

The recent gruesome communal violence occured between the Meiteis and the Kuki-Chin-Mizo-Zomi-Hmar tribals of Manipur in the outer Manipur subsequent. In the joint statement, Ministers written that, 'In the wake of a devastating communal violence has inflicted wounds upon our communities, we would like to make an earnest appeal to shun violence and follow the path of reconciliation as it is the only way forward to restrore peace in our land again.

 The recent conflict has left behind a trail of suffering, division, mistrusr. However sincere effort of each individual by extending a hand of compassion, understanding and forgiveness, we can pave the wat for healing and unity. Let us word to transeend our differences, foster dialogue and rebuild the foundations of a harmonious and inclusive society. Let us seize the opportunity to build the bridges, mend broken relationships and create a society that cherishes diversity and embraces the principles of unity and harmony.'
