Delhi: Delhi Minister and AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj has leveled serious allegations against the Adani Group, accusing them of bribing state governments to facilitate the sale of electricity at inflated prices. Addressing the media, Bharadwaj also questioned the BJP's role in defending the Adani Group amid mounting corruption allegations.

“Investigation has revealed that a bribe was given by the Adani group to different state governments in order to sell electricity at higher prices,” Bharadwaj claimed. He criticized the central government for its lack of action, saying, “It's a question why the central government isn't investigating it. What’s the relation between Adani and BJP?”

Bharadwaj further alleged that the BJP appears to act as a shield for the Adani Group, remarking, “We question Adani but it's the BJP who replies. When Adani gets summoned, the entire BJP comes forward to advocate for them.”

His comments follow an explosive claim by AAP convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who alleged he was pressured to hand over Delhi’s power companies to Adani and was jailed for resisting.

The allegations have reignited debates over corporate-government nexus and accountability in public sector operations. The AAP has demanded a thorough investigation into the Adani Group’s dealings and the BJP’s alleged involvement.

As the controversy unfolds, neither the Adani Group nor the BJP has issued an official response to the accusations. The matter is likely to gain traction in political and public discourse, with opposition parties calling for greater scrutiny of corporate influence in governance.
