By the staff reporter: There has been a major decline in the head count ratio of poverty in the last 9 years. The headcount ratio of poverty has been reduced from a projected 29.17 percent in 2013-2014 to 11.28 percent in 2022-2023. Today NITI Aayog released a discussion paper on Multidimensional Poverty in India. According to the discussion paper published by NITI Aayog on Multidimensional Poverty from 2005-2006, it is estimated that 24.82 crore people have moved out of multidimensional poverty in India during the last 9 years.
