IPS officer commits suicide

A senior Tamil Nadu cadre IPS officer committed suicide on Friday morning. The deputy inspector general of police, Coimbatore range, C Vijayakumar allegedly shot himself to death with his gunman's pistol at his camp office in Coimbartore. But why did Vijayakumar, known to be an upright officer commit suicide? The IPS officer went for his customary jogging in the morning and returned to his camp office at around 7 AM and shot himself. Senior police officers have rushed to the hospital. Tamil Nadu chief minister MK Stalin condoled his death.
