96.8 Crore Registered Voters: CEC Rajiv Kumar

Ahead of the Lok Sabha Election Schedule announcement, Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar on Saturday revealed that 96.8 crore citizens registered themselves for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

BY A STAFF REPORTER: Ahead of the Lok Sabha Election Schedule announcement, Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar on Saturday revealed that 96.8 crore citizens registered themselves for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

While addressing a presser, CEC Rajiv Kumar stated that the country has 96.8 crore registered voters for the upcoming elections, which is equivalent to combined voters of few continents. Moreover, it comprises around 49 crore male voters and 47 crore female voters. Furthermore, there are 82 lakh voters above 85 years of age, 88.4 lakh voters with disabilities, and 2.18 lakh centenarians. 

He also introduced the new Election Commissioners Gyanesh Kumar and Sukhbir Singh Sandhu who were appointed on Friday. Moreover, he will soon share the schedule for the upcoming elections.
