This year, the last Shahi Snan of the Magh Mela will coincide with Mahashivratri, with crores of devotees expected to take a holy dip at Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj. Apart from Prayagraj, special pujas and grand celebrations have been organized at several prominent Shiva temples across the country.

This temple hosts a 10-day fair on Mahashivratri, attracting not only devotees but also foreign tourists eager to witness its intricate art and architecture.
3. Mahakaleshwar Temple, Ujjain
One of the 12 Jyotirlingas, Mahakaleshwar Temple sees a huge influx of devotees on Mahashivratri night. According to legend, Lord Shiva himself emerged from the ground here to defeat a demon and bless his followers.
4. Bhootnath Temple, Mandi
The famous Mahashivratri fair in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, has been celebrated for over 500 years. The temple witnesses a large gathering of devotees and tourists.
5. Nageshwar Jyotirlinga, Dwarka
This sacred temple in Dwarka hosts bhajans, kirtans, and special pujas throughout Mahashivratri. The Shivalinga is bathed in milk, ghee, honey, sugar, and curd, creating a deeply spiritual atmosphere.
