West Bengal Records 71.84% Voter Turnout In 2nd Phase of LS Polls

As the second phase of Lok Sabha elections concluded, West Bengal recorded a 71.84% voter turnout and stood in the top three among 13 states around 5:00 PM on April 26, Friday.

BY A STAFF REPORTER: As the second phase of Lok Sabha elections concluded, West Bengal recorded a 71.84% voter turnout and stood in the top three among 13 states around 5:00 PM on April 26, Friday. 

West Bengal stood at the third position after Tripura and Manipur, which recorded 77.53% and 76.06% voter turnout respectively. Moreover, Maharashtra, Bihar, and Uttar Pradesh recorded the lowest voter turnouts at 53.51%, 53.03% and 52.74% respectively.

Manipur, Tripura, and West Bengal were also among the top three in the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections. The second phase of the Lok Sabha elections was held in 88 constituencies across 13 states.
