Tripura Records Highest Voter Turnout In The First Phase of LS Polls
Tripura recorded 79.90% voter turnout while West Bengal recorded 77.57% voter turnout. Puducherry also remained in the top three with 73.25% voter turnout. However, Bihar recorded the lowest voter turnout with 47.49%
BY A STAFF REPORTER: As the first phase of Lok Sabha elections concluded, Tripura recorded the highest voter turnout followed by West Bengal at around 7:00 PM on April 19, Friday.
Tripura recorded 79.90% voter turnout while West Bengal recorded 77.57% voter turnout. Puducherry also remained in the top three with 73.25% voter turnout. However, Bihar recorded the lowest voter turnout with 47.49% followed by Rajasthan with 50.95% voter turnout.
As per ECI, Tripura recorded 79.90% voter turnout till 7pm, in the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections which saw polling in 21 States and UTs pic.twitter.com/2E0UgIjfpb
The elections are set to be held in 102 constituencies across 21 states in the first phase of Lok Sabha Polls. The second phase will begin on April 26. The results will be declared on June 4.
