TMC Candidate Nirmal Chandra Roy Casts His Vote In Jalpaiguri
As the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections began, the Trinamool Congress candidate for the general elections cast his vote in Jalpaiguri, West Bengal.
BY A STAFF REPORTER: As the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections began, the Trinamool Congress candidate for the general elections cast his vote in Jalpaiguri, West Bengal.
Roy cast his vote at Dhupguri's polling station. He further appealed to voters to cast their vote peacefully and maintain the law and order. Nirmal Chandra Roy is set to contest against BJP's Jayant Kumar Roy who has been serving as the MP from Jalpaiguri since 2019.

During the first phase of Lok Sabha elections, West Bengal's Jalpaiguri, Cooch Behar, and Alipurduars are set to go to polls. The BJP has fielded incumbent MP and Union Minister Nisith Pramanik against TMC's Jagdish Chandra Burma Basunia from the Cooch Behar Constituency. BJP's candidate Manoj Tigga will contest from the Alipurduars constituency against TMC's Prakash Chik Baraik. Moreover, In the second phase, Darjeeling, Raiganj, and Balurghat will go to the polls on April 26.
