BY A STAFF REPORTER: As the nation waits for the verdict, former Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi defeated BJP Candidate Sushil Kumar Rinku from the Jalandhar constituency on June 4, Tuesday.

Channi defeated Sushil Kumar Rinku by a margin of 1,75,993 votes. Moreover, Sushil Kumar Rinku was the lone AAP MP from Punjab until he joined the BJP earlier in March.
