BY A STAFF REPORTER: As the first phase of Lok Sabha elections began, former Madhya Pradesh's Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan filed his nomination from the Vidisha constituency as a BJP candidate on April 19, Friday.

Shivraj Singh Chouhan was accompanied by his wife Sadhna Singh while filing the nomination. Moreover, the elections will be held in Madhya Pradesh on April 26, May 7 and 13.

The elections are set to be held in 102 constituencies across 21 states in the first phase of Lok Sabha Polls. West Bengal and Tripura are seeing high rates of voter turnouts on the first day. The results will be declared on June 4.
