Angomcha Akoijam Confronts Cops Over Polling Agent Receiving Threats

BY A STAFF REPORTER: As the first phase of Lok Sabha elections began, Angomcha Bimol Akoijam, Congress nominee from the Inner Manipur constituency, confronted police officials concerning alleged threats issued to his polling agent on April 19, Friday.

Angomcha Bimol Akoijam claimed that the polling officer complained regarding commotion and threats issued to his polling agent on the first day of the elections. Akoijam also alleged that the polling agent left the election booth after the commotion. 

The Congress Candidate Angomcha Bimol Akoijam is an associate professor at the Jawaharlal Nehru University in Delhi.
