Due to Rainfall, Yellow alert issued for Bengal

In the afternoon, rainfall came down in Kolkata city. The Meteorological Department had already predicted that the rainfall will increase in South Bengal from Wednesday. Now that prediction has come true. Thundershowers accompanied by rain fell across the city. The streets of Kolkata are waterlogged a little bit. The rain is said to be due to the cyclonic circulation and active monsoon axis. Rain and thundershowers are likely to occur in Murshidabad, Birbhum, West Burdwan, Purulia, Bankura, Purba Bardhaman, Nadia, Hooghly, West Midnapore, Jhargram, Howrah, Kolkata, North 24 Parganas, South 24 Parganas, East Midnapore. Apart from this, the Meteorological Department has issued an alert for rain in all the districts of North Bengal. This was stated in a bulletin issued today.
