Kolkata police interacts with students

After a series traffic mishap and a fatal accident in which a young school student lost his life in Behala, Kolkata traffic police went on an awareness overdrive. Senior police officers reached out to school students and held an interactive session with them.Talking to ANM News, assistant commissioner of police, traffic, Samir Panja mentioned that their endeavor was to educate school children on road safety procedures. Students however put forward two pertinent questions- where are the footpaths to walk and there are massive sound pollution with buses and taxis blowing horns much above the permissible limit. Panja promised student that police will look into all issues but also advised the children to be careful and follow traffic rules while walking on the road and crossing intersections.
