ANM News has learnt from officials in the know at Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers (GRSE) that a detailed proposal is being sent to the state transport department. ``Our senior officers including a director had met the transport secretary to discuss the issue,'' a senior GRSE official told ANM News. Although plans are still being finalised, the e-ferry services will add to Kolkata's fleet of water communication. Experts suggested that once implemented, the e-ferry will offer better and faster facility to Dakshineswar and belur bound passengers. GRSE sources claimed that once the state government green lights the proposal, they will step on the accelerator to implement it at the earliest.
