By a Staff Reporter: India Post is set to take a significant step toward digital excellence with the rollout of the next-generation APT (Advanced Postal Technology) application across all post offices in the West Bengal Circle. The new system will go live on July 15 and August 5, 2025, ushering in a smarter, faster, and more customer-friendly postal service.
What to Expect from the New System?

To facilitate the transition, critical processes like data migration, system verification, and configuration will be carried out. As a result, no public transactions will take place on July 14 and August 4, 2025, in any post office under the West Bengal Circle.
The Chief Postmaster General of West Bengal Circle has confirmed that transformation work will be undertaken on July 15 and August 5. Apologizing for any inconvenience caused, the department has urged customers to plan their visits accordingly.
Describing the move as a “key milestone in the nation-building journey,” the Chief Postmaster General emphasized the department’s mission to deliver faster, reliable, and digitally empowered services to every citizen.
Stakeholders believe this technological upgrade will open new horizons in communication and financial services, particularly benefiting both urban and rural customers across the state.
This development marks yet another example of how India Post is aligning with the country’s vision of a digitally inclusive and service-oriented future.
