Speaking at the celebration of 250 years of Kolkata GPO, Governor Bose mentioned that his mother was a post mistress.
He narrated several incidents involving his village in Kerala and his links with the post office.
Governor inaugurated an exhibition “journey of mails”, a special philatelic cover on 250 years of Kolkata GPO and a gold plated silver replica of India Postage stamp on Calcutta GPO building.
The secretary post Vineet Pandey and chief PMG West Bengal circle, Niraj Kumar was present on the ocassion and addressed the gathering.
