Emergency preparations at Haldia dock to deal with cyclone: 40 ships were docked due to danger

Thirty ships have been docked at Calcutta and Haldia ports and a warning has been sent to prevent ships from entering the area.

Own Reporter : Rathendra Raman, chairman of Shyamaprasad Mukherjee Port Trust, said in an exclusive interview with ANM News recently that 30 ships have been docked to ensure the security of Kolkata and Haldia ports. He said that 16 of these ships are firmly anchored in Kolkata and 14 in Haldia.

 Raman added, "We have stopped calling ships 48 hours in advance considering the possibility of a storm." Six emergency points have been identified for emergency response. According to the IMD report, the wind and rain-bearing clouds have cleared somewhat, so the situation has now started to normalize.

 "Our infrastructure is ready to bear the brunt of the cyclone, but we are not taking any chances," an official noted. The authorities are prepared for all kinds of situations, so that any unexpected incident can be responded quickly.
