In the said programme, Dr. Kalyan Rudra, Chairman, WBPCB stated that the programme has been organised to create an awareness among the students of the schools and colleges who have participated. The main aim of WBPCB is to spread awareness among the future generation regarding wetland management and conservation as due to urbanisation and increase in industrial pollution there has been a fall in the percentage of wetland.
