CISF raised security concern at Victoria Memorial

By A Staff Reporter: Is there a proposal from the CISF to stop morning walk inside Victoria Memorial? Sources have informed ANM News that a senior CISF official has raised the red flag on morning walkers coming inside Victoria Memorial claiming that it posed a threat to security of the establishment. 

He has raised the issue in a monthly internal security review meeting of CISF, officials in know of the proceedings mentioned. Although Victoria Memorial authorities said there is no such plan on the pipeline. Asked whether they are in know of the security concern posed by morning walkers, senior officials of the Memorial said no such thing has been brought to their notice. But a section of CISF officials insisted and admitted that morning entry “poses a problem.”

The CISF official also pointed out that there are inadequate CCTV cameras around the gardens and inside the premises for monitoring situations. “We have raised this issue with the Memorial authorities and they have promised to increase the number of security cameras within a short period,” a CISF official said. 

The central police organisation has also requested for tentlike structures near the gates for covering security machines and personnel during calamities.
