IPL 2024: Rishabh Pant's big news of the moment

BY A STAFF REPORTER: Rishabh Pant will return to the field for Delhi Capitals in IPL 2024. Pant, who was ruled out of the 2023 season after suffering a serious injury in a car accident in December 2022, is expected to be fully fit by the end of February. However, it is not clear whether Pant will return as a wicketkeeper-batsman, his natural role, or as a specialist batsman. But the franchise is reportedly happy to have Pant as captain and batsman.

In November, Pant attended a camp for the Capitals in Kolkata, which was attended by Sourav Ganguly (director of cricket), Ricky Ponting (head coach) and Pravin Amre (assistant coach). Later, Pant participated in discussions on retaining and releasing players as well as drafting an initial bidding plan ahead of the next auction to be held on December 19 in Dubai.
