Zelenskiy Praises Ukrainians for Battles With Russia and the Weather

BY A STAFF REPORTER: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy thanked ukraine's military for fighting the Russian invasion and their rescue services to deal with the consequences of severe cold weather.

"There is uninterrupted, intense fighting in Donetsk and the east of Kharkiv, and extremely challenging weather is affecting areas from kiev in the north to Odessa in the south," Zelenskiy said. ' 

Oleg Kryuchkov, moscow's official in the Russian-controlled region, said about 500,000 people were without power in Crimea, the peninsula russia annexed in 2014.
