By a Staff Reporter: Controversial Nobel prize winner Mohammed Yunus, who is taking over the reins of Bangladesh had a false start, claimed many intellectuals in the country. While Yunus hailed student power and exclaimed liberation, he failed to condemn the lawlessness, loot, mayhem mindless killings and vandalism, according to at least five senior intellectuals in Bangladesh.
“Sheikh Hasina paid the price of her mistakes. There is no room for authoritative room and Yunus too should remember that as the new regime is following in the footsteps of Mujib’s daughter,” a senior intellectual told foreign reporters in Dhaka.
“Bangladesh is plunged into complete lawlessness and there are no law enforcement agencies with mindless killings going on all over the country. There is not a word of condemnation from Yunus,” the intellectual added.
