On Monday, a man armed with a baseball bat attacked two congressional staffers while speaking to Rep. Gerry Connolly at a northern Virginia district office.

Connolly said the attacker entered his office and attacked two of his associates with a metal bat. The attacker hit a senior assistant on the head with a metal bat. The attacker also hit an intern with the bat on his first day of work. The suspect, Juan Kha Tran Pham, 49, of Fairfax, has been charged with aggravated assault, the USCP said.
