Washington: The United States has reiterated its commitment to maintaining constructive relations with both India and Pakistan, framing such engagement as a positive step for regional and global stability. Responding to a question on the India-Pakistan conflict during a press conference, US State Department Spokesperson Tammy Bruce said the ability to engage with all parties was an advantage of US diplomacy under the current administration.
Bruce highlighted the recent US-Pakistan counter-terrorism dialogue held in Islamabad, where both countries reaffirmed their shared commitment to combat terrorism “in all its forms and manifestations.” Discussions during the latest rounds of talks focused on enhancing cooperation to address emerging security threats, with an emphasis on intelligence sharing, law enforcement coordination, and regional counter-terrorism strategies.
