BY A STAFF REPORTER: The U.S. military has launched a new attack on Houthi-controlled areas in Yemen targeting anti-ship ballistic missiles, two U.S. officials said.

U.S. officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, said today's strike targeted four anti-ship missiles. The strike had not been reported before.

Houthi attacks on Red Sea ships have continued even after US President Joe Biden ordered an initial strike last week to reduce the Houthis' capabilities.

The Houthis, who control most of Yemen's Red Sea coast, say they attacked commercial ships to support Palestinians in Israel's war against Hamas in Gaza.
