BY A STAFF REPORTER: The U.S. State Department announced a $250 million military aid package for Ukraine, which the U.S. will provide to Ukraine until the Joe Biden administration's funding request is approved by Congress.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said in a statement, "This package will provide up to $250 million of weapons and equipment under the previously directed drawdown for Ukraine." ' 

"The capabilities provided in today's package include air defence munitions, components of other air defence systems, additional ammunition for high mobility artillery rocket systems, 155 mm and 105 mm artillery ammunition, anti-armor ammunition and more than 15 million rounds of ammunition," the statement added.
