London | Conservative Party Shadow Foreign Secretary and MP for Witham, Priti Patel, has expressed solidarity with the victims of the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, reiterating the need for global unity against terrorism and calling for regional stability through diplomatic engagement.
Speaking in the House of Commons, Patel extended her condolences to those affected by the "atrocity that took place in Pahalgam." She emphasized the UK's responsibility to stand by those impacted by terrorism and to work closely with allies, particularly India, in combating such threats.
“We must stand with those affected by terrorism,” Patel stated. “The UK must work with our friends in India to tackle terrorist threats and engage with India, Pakistan and key partners in the region to de-escalate tensions and support peace, security and stability.”
