BY A STAFF REPORTER: Romanian President Klaus Yohannis said the attacks took place too close to the border with neighboring Ukraine and that Russia had repeatedly carried out drone strikes on Danube infrastructure in southern Ukraine.

The NATO member has rejected Kiev's claim that an Iranian-made Russian drone crashed into Romanian territory during an attack on ukraine's Izmail port.

"We are concerned because these attacks are taking place within a very short distance from the Romanian border," Yohanis said, echoing the defense ministry's comments at Tuesday's news conference. But we remain vigilant. "
