Kenya accident horror leaves 48 dead

At least 48 people were killed when a truck rammed into several vehicles in Western Kenya. It occurred near Rift Vakkey town of Londiani. The figure is likely to increase. The number of injured people remained unclear and since it was dark and raining, it would take time to confirm number of casualties, saidpolice commander Tom Odera. According to eye witnesses the truck veered off the highway and struck several vehicles before hitting pedestrians and traders. The Kenyan Red Cross society said heavy rainfall interrupted search operations and people were still trapped in wrecked vehicles. Kenyan president condemned this brutal accident and requested motorcyclists to be extra cautious and wished speedy recovery of injured. Transport Minister Kipchumba Murkomen also said through twitter he would investigate the accident to determine the cause of the crash.
