By Avijit Nandi Majumdar, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam: India is looking forward to strengthen partnership with Communist Vietnam, promoting trade, tourism and increasing educational and promotional exchanges. Speaking exclusively with ANM News, consul general of India in Ho Chi Minh City, Madan Mohon Sethi mentioned that Vietnam has taken giant strides in infrastructure and other business sectors. “India and Vietnam shares a historical bondage and I have tried hard to cement the relationship further. We are organising several programmes and there was a highly successful recent visit of India’s foreign minister Jaishankar,” Sethi said. Elaborating further, Sethi said senior ministers and politicians from Vietnam visited India recently and India’s junior foreign minister Rajkumar Ranjan Singh is following up on Jaishankar’s visit to inaugurate north eastern festival in Ho Chi Minh City towards the last week of October. Vietnam has become extremely popular with Indian tourists with people making a beeline for the place leaving Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok and Singapore far behind.
