Speaking during his visit to Mumbai, Starmer confirmed that Yash Raj Films, one of India’s leading production and distribution companies, will shoot its upcoming big-budget projects across various UK locations starting in early 2026. The initiative is expected to create more than 3,000 jobs and generate millions of pounds for the British economy.
To commemorate the announcement, the Prime Minister visited Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai, accompanied by a delegation representing some of the UK’s most prominent film institutions, including the British Film Institute, the British Film Commission, Pinewood Studios, Elstree Studios, and Civic Studios.
