Vietnam war. The guerrillas of Vietnam stayed inside tunnels and fought from underneath. Their life was under the earth where they stayed, slept, ate, and then cropped up whenever there was an indication of enemy US soldiers in the neighbourhood. ANM News editor in chief Avijit Nandi Majumdar went inside one of the tunnels which was like a maze with hardly a place for one person to crawl. There are several such tunnels in Cu Chi jungles in the outskirts of Saigon in Vietnam. Much of these tunnels are more than a kilometre long. There are numerous such tunnels where thousands of guerrillas stayed and fought. They hid the entry of the tunnels with grass and booby traps to fool the incoming Americans soldiers.
